MARCH 30, 2022
WATERTOWN, Mass.–Captivate Bio, a cell culture solutions provider serving scientists worldwide, announced today it is a sponsor of the sixteenth Wisconsin Stem Cell Symposium. The symposium, which will be held on April 20, 2022, in Madison, Wisconsin, is coordinated by the University of Wisconsin–Madison Stem Cell Regenerative Medicine Center and the BTC Institute.
This year’s symposium will focus on cell competition, an emerging field of stem cell biology that has important implications for healthy aging and disease states. The symposium will bring together leading researchers in the field to highlight the latest advances in our understanding of the molecular mechanisms responsible for cell population selection during human development, cellular reprogramming, and disease.
“While our company name is new, our core team has been an attendee, sponsor, and champion of the BTCI symposium since its very first event. Our team’s mission has always been the same – to provide the tools and support needed for regenerative medicine applications and to help drive stem cell research toward its therapeutic potential,” said Lia Thornberry Kent, Director of Technology, Captivate Bio. “Attending these events allows us to remain connected with the remarkable scientists at UW-Madison, where my career in stem cell research began. The symposium is a great way for our team to continue to show our support of the breakthrough research coming out of the Madison area.”
As its first in-person sponsored event since its founding in 2020, Captivate Bio will showcase new tools for stem cell research, introduce its unique procurement services, and highlight it’s collaborative US-based custom media manufacturing services.
