WATERTOWN, Mass.–Captivate Bio will attend the 18th Annual Meeting of the International Serum Industry Association (ISIA) being held in Athens, Greece from April 26-27, 2023. “We are excited to participate in this year’s event and are looking forward to engaging in-person with the serum experts from around the world,” said Lori Oakes, Managing Partner, Captivate Bio. “As serum is still a major reagent used in research, our goal is to learn how the serum industry is being impacted by the last few years of market instability, as well as the latest changes in supply chain that we can bring back to our customers here in the US.”
The International Serum Industry Association (the ISIA) was formed in 2006 and its mission is to promote and assure compliance with uncompromised standards of excellence and ethics in the business practices of the global animal serum and animal derived products supply industry.
The ISIA is an association comprised of collectors, producers, distributors, and end users of animal-derived products. The prime objective is to promote ethics within the industry and to focus on the safe sourcing and safe use of serum and animal-derived products. The ISIA is also committed to providing education to stakeholders on the various aspects of sourcing and use of serum.
In addition to ISIA, Captivate Bio will be represented at a number of local shows in and around the Boston-area including ISSCR 2023 and VendorFest events.
